The built-in light sensor ensures that it turns on in the dark and automatically turns off when the surrounding is bright. Just place the lights in the sun to charge for 5-7 hours when the light gets dim, and they can illuminate for 2 hours, or you can use a regular AAA battery as a backup but it can’t be charged with solar energy.
